Riverdale Is Doing a Musical Episode of Heathers
Paul Dailly at .The Riverdale teens will be taking a break from trying to unmask cult leaders, and the other strange things going on in town for a momentous occasion.
The CW has confirmed an upcoming installment of the hit drama will feature the kids staging another musical.
Riverdale Season 3 will feature an episode dedicated to Heathers: The Musical.
The episode will air March 20 at 8/7c and will include nine songs from the off-broadway adaptation that launched in 2010.
Josie will lead the cast as Veronica, while Sweet Pea will take on the role of J.D.
The three Heathers will be played by Cheryl, Betty, and Veronica, with Archie and Reggie playing jocks Kurt and Ram.

The biggest shocker from the above cast list is that the production is sponsored by The Farm.
Yeah, that's not going to go down well with just about anyone. It's unclear whether the entire installation will be musical, or if there will be other things going on.
That said, the Carrie-themed musical from Riverdale Season 2 had some big twists that changed the course of the series.

“This year, we wanted to honor another iconic teen movie. Heathers: The Musical is BIG FUN, with great roles for the Riverdale kids. And everyone is singing…”
That means we'll be getting to here Jughead Jones belting one of the songs out. Yes, it's hard to believe it, but the teenager has yet to sing on the show.
"Chapter Fifty-One: Big Fun" is the title of the episode, and it sounds freaking awesome!
