TV Ratings Report: Criminal Minds, Empire Hit Lows
Paul Dailly at .Criminal Minds returned for its landmark 300th episode on Wednesday night.
But it appears that viewers were not exactly clamoring for its return.
The veteran CBS crime-solver returned with a series low 0.7 rating. That's down six-tenths vs. last year's premiere and down two-tenths from its May finale.
Yikes!
Will the relative decline of just about everything on CBS keep the series around? Time will tell.
Seal Team also returned on the downside with a 0.8 rating. It held on to just over half of the lead-in from Survivor.
That show had a 1.5 rating.
Over on Fox, Empire eased four-tenths to a 1.5 rating, marking a new series low. The trend is most definitely not Empire's friend.
Star was also affected, slipping three-tenths to a 1.2 rating.
Over on ABC, A Million Little Things was down three-tenths to a worrying 0.8 rating. That's not a good place to be on your second week on the air and does not bode well for a back order.
Fellow rookie Single Parents went down to a 1.1 rating.
Modern Family slipped two-tenths to a 1.4, while The Goldbergs (1.3) and American Housewife (1.2) slipped one-tenth.
NBC benefited with its Once Chicago crossover pulling in a 1.3 rating in the 8/7c and 9/8c, with each hours up a tenth.
The final hour was right on par with last week with a 1.2.
