The CW's annual Arrowverse crossover will air on the network later this year, and the network has finally confirmed when we can expect the 3-night event to air.

It all kicks off Sunday, December 9 at 8/7c with The Flash, before airing as part of Arrow on Monday, December 10 at 8/7c.

The event will conclude during an episode of Supergirl which will air Tuesday, December 11 at 8/7c. Yes, this means Supergirl will be flipping timeslots with The Flash for that week.

There's no word yet on why that's happening, but we think it's fair to assume that the producers wanted the story to kick off during the highest-rated show in the franchise.

The network will likely be hoping to give more sampling to the controversial Charmed reboot following The Flash's portion of the crossover.

Also, DC's Legends of Tomorrow will not be part of this year's crossover so that it will span three hours instead of four last year.

It was previously announced that this crossover would introduce Gotham City, and Batwoman, who will be played by Orange is the New Black and The Meg star, Ruby Rose.

If the crossover goes well, it could also lead to a full-fledged series of Batwoman that would air on the network in 2019.

"Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence," reads the official logline for the series.

"But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope."
