Riverdale: Carrie-Themed Musical Episode Confirmed!
Paul Dailly at .Well, this is exciting news from the land of Riverdale.
According to TV Line, the sophomore sensation will air its first musical episode in April, but the characters won't be bursting into song because of some spell cast on them.
Instead, the musical aspect will organically come to the show. Riverdale High will be putting on a production of Carrie: The Musical.
The cast will take to the stage and perform eleven songs during the spectacular.
The show will be directed by Kevin Keller, while Cheryl Blossom will take on the titular role of Carrie. We can only imagine the witty one-liners Cheryl will add in for comedic value.
Veronica will play the villain, Chris while Archie and Betty will play Sue and Tommy.
Given that Veronica is in the know about that kiss Betty and Archie shared on Riverdale Season 2 Episode 9, we can only bet there will be some fireworks behind the scenes.
If you watch Riverdale online, you will be well aware that the cast is a talented bunch.
We've already witnessed Jose and the Pussycats, Archie and Veronica perform, so we cannot wait to see what becomes of the other characters.
Wouldn't it be great to see the students from Southside High getting involved in all of the fun?
That's assuming the Serpents will still be in the school when the episode airs Wednesday, April 18 at 8/7c.
