The big news this weekend was the Outstanding Drama Series win at the Daytime Emmy Awards for NBC's Days of Our Lives, which is celebrating its 50th year on the air and which tied for the top prize with The Young and the Restless.

Also, Freddie Smith, who portrays Sonny Kiriakis, took home the statue for the Outstanding Younger Actor category.

However, it will business as usual in Salem this week, as we'll see crafty Chad DiMera live up to his family's name by continuing to pull some strings (on behalf of his father, Stefano), doing his best to work his way back into the heart of Abigail.

Continuing coverage from my visit to the Days of Our Lives set in Burbank recently, I sat down with Billy Flynn to talk about whether the character is truly a villain... what his weakness is... and who he would identify as Chad's BFF.
