The Freaks are coming.

The network has announced that American Horror Story Season 4 - dubbed "American Horror Story: Freak Show" - will premiere on Wednesday, October 8 at 10/9c.

The latest installment of the Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk-produced horror drama will bring back Jessica Lange as the leader of a carnival and be set in 1950s Florida.

American Horror Story: Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike.

This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.

Season 4 will also feature Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe and Frances Conroy.

New to the crew will be Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, Patti LaBelle, Finn Wittrock and “” Jyoti Amge.
