ABC Developing Derrick Storm-Based Drama: Will Castle Come to Fake Real Life?

Okay, so try to follow along here:
ABC is in the preliminary stages of developing Derrick Storm, a drama based on the character at the forefront of Richard Castle’s novels on Castle.
Yes, this would be a show based on a fictional character written by another fictional character from one of ABC's shows.
Prior to teaming with Kate Beckett, Rich wrote multiple novels about Storm, a CIA operative. Since then, Hyperion Books has since published novels (in real life) about the man, including A Brewing Storm, A Raging Storm and A Bloody Storm.
Castle creator Andrew W. Marlowe and executive producer Terri Edda Miller are on board to serve as producers on the potential new series.
It's a tad confusing, and it may never come to fruition, but it would be a pretty cool first in the television business if it ever does.
Castle Season 7 Episode 1, "Driven," airs on September 29.
