ABC Picks Up Agents of SHIELD for Full Season

Look out, bad guys: Marvel's Agents of SHIELD will be fighting crime well into 2014.

Despite a steady decrease in ratings since its series premiere, has picked up the freshman program for a full season of 22 episodes.

Agents of SHIELD debuted on September 24 to 12.1 million viewers and a 4.7 rating among young adults.

Last night's installment, however netted just 7.9 million, but its 18-49-year old viewership actually edged out NCIS in the 8 p.m. hour.

Through three weeks, Agent Coulson and company rank at the number-one new show of the fall season among the these young adults, averaging a 4.0 rating that actually increases to 5.7 when Live+3 DVR playback is factored in.
