TV Fanatic critic Dan Forcella isn't the only one who didn't love The Office season finale.

Ricky Gervais, who was one of many big guest stars on the concluding episode, blogged yesterday that the installment focused far too much on cameos than on actual storyline development. Or humor.

"If you're going to jump a shark, jump a big one," wrote the British comedian, adding: "I assume most people know I didn't do the U.S. remake for the art. I did my version for the art. That's why I stopped it after a few hours of telly."

Gervais later backed off and said the jabs were a bit of "self-deprecating" humor, but we don't disagree with his take. Did Will Arnett really bring anything to his role, aside from a distraction?
