Jonathan Cake Named Series Regular on Desperate Housewives

Jonathan Cake has landed a key new role on Desperate Housewives.

The British actor, who has recently guest-starred on Chuck, Law & Order and Off the Map, will come on board the ABC hit later this season as a love interest for Bree. His character, a valued-driven detective named Aaron, will appear on this season's final four episodes.

Assuming the four leads all sign new deals with ABC, Cake will then be promoted to series regular on season eight.
