Casting news doesn't get much funnier than this: Will Ferrell will come on board The Office this season for a quartet of episodes.

The actor - who appeared with Steve Carell in Anchorman - will arrive in Scranton as an inept manager from another branch. Says star/producer Paul Lieberstein:

“We found Steve Carell when he was nothing but a movie star and we turned him into a television star. We are proud to continue The Office‘s tradition of discovering famous talent, and we hope that once America gets a good look at Will, they’ll see what we see: tremendous raw sexuality.”

Look for Ferrell to interact with Carell's Michael Scott for three episodes, and then stick around for one more after that mainstay exits the show.
