The family of Lois Lane is returning to Smallville.

As first reported by TV Guide, Michael Ironside will reprise his role as General Sam Lane, while Peyton List returns as Lucy Lane, in an episode scheduled to air this October.

Lois' father and sister were last seen in separate episodes during season four. The former has at least been mentioned numerous times, however.

Ironside guest-starred on an episode of Burn Notice this year, while List recurs as Jane Sterling on Mad Men.

Smallville begins its final season on September 24.
