Brian Austin Green isn't finished with Smallville just yet.

The actor will reprise his role as the villainous Metallo on the show's 18th episode, Entertainment Weekly reports, which will air in the spring of 2010.

Green debuted as John Corben in Smallville’s season nine premiere. The character grew into Metallo and was killed off the following week after he accidentally ripped his mechanical heart out of his chest.

These things happen, but it begs the question: how will Metallo be brought back to the series?
